MLAC Mission and Vision Statements

A Community of Believers, Committed to Christ,

Caring for One Another, Reaching Out to the World

What makes us a community is the fact that we share the same purpose and mission. We desire to be Christ-centered people in the light of God's Word. Acts 2:42-47 gives us a glimpse of the early Christian church and what our church might look like. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer…the believers…had everything in common.” As a result of God’s work in their lives, and their care and love for each other, many in the community took notice and became believers. This is a very powerful example of God’s love for His people and how the love for Christian brothers and sisters can point people toward God. This is why we are committed to Christ as our top priority.

At MLAC we recognize the Bible’s teaching that the Church is the Body of Christ. Each of us has been uniquely gifted (1 Corinthians 12:1-11), not for our own good, but by “manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:7). “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body…God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be” (1 Corinthians 12: 12, 18). We are committed to building up the Body of Christ where those who know Him, will serve Him, and those who are non-believers may come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

At MLAC we make great attempts to care for one another. We know that life can be difficult, and that at times we all need to lean on others. We know we are all sinners (Romans 3:23), and yet we are to “Love one another” (John 13:34).

At MLAC we know that we have found the Good News that God loves us through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. We can't keep that Good News to ourselves. We want to share it with the rest of the world. That's why we seek to love our neighbors as ourselves” (Matthew 22:39). Our world begins right here in Moses Lake, but it extends to all people throughout the Columbia Basin and the world. Within the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination, we support over 815 missionaries working in 48 countries around the world. Our purpose is to reach out to the world with God's love.

Reaching Moses Lake, the Columbia Basin and Beyond

Our vision at MLAC is through God’s power and our commitment to:

  • Introduce every person in Moses Lake to Jesus

  • Assist and encourage all the life-giving churches in the Columbia Basin in introducing every person in their community to Jesus

  • Strategically impact specific global communities that God directs us to partner with
